UNIVERSITY COURT CONTRACT & POLICIES

Steps to signing a contract with University Court:

  1. Check out the qualifications to live in University Court & find your roommates
    • Returning Residents
      • Same Apartment | January 31 - February 4
      • Different Apartment | February 7-11
    • New Residents
      • Seniors (min. 90 credits) | February 14-18
      • Juniors (min. 60 credits) | February 21-25
      • Sophomores (min. 30 credits) | February 28 - March 4
  2. Sign up for a tour 
  3. Pay the $50 Application Fee with the cashier’s office in person or online after confirming which unit you plan to sign for
    • If you pay in person, be specific that you are paying the $50 University Court Housing Application Fee
    • If you are returning to University Court, you may skip this step
  4. Schedule your appointment to sign your contract
    • This meeting will occur in person, and ALL roommates must be present
  5. Assignment Letters will be made over the summer
  6. Wait for Move-In Day

 University Court Policies

Utilities
Utilities provided by the university: high-speed internet, on-demand movie streaming service, sewer service, water allowance, and trash removal.

Utilities not provided by the University: Long distance phone calls and electricity. In order to start or stop the electric service, please contact Ameren at (800) 755-5000. All residents of the apartment share equal responsibility for the electric bill and any water overages that may occur. No resident can move in until Ameren has been started.

University Policy
Services offered at the University Court desk: Brooms & vacuums, work orders, change, roommate mediations, stamps, lock-outs, laundry facilities in each building, an after-hours emergency phone number, and a dining plan are offered through dining services.

Parking permits are available through the University Police Department. University Court has parking for students and staff. A respective parking sticker is required for these lots. Park in the designated areas. Enforcement is through UPD.

As with any University housing facility, pets are not allowed except for fish. Service Animals or Emotional Support Animals must be pre-approved and cannot stay in your apartment until approval is granted through Disability Services Also, grills are not allowed on balconies.
