halls that comprise the South Quad.
Taylor Hall opened in 1966 and was named in honor of Edson H. Taylor, who was a faculty member on the day the university opened in 1899. Mr. Taylor was acting president of the university for four and one-half months following the death of Mr. Livingston C. Lord.
